BIICL Short Courses

20 Feb 2025

The British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) has announced its 2025 short course programme. Led by BIICL experts and external partners, BIICL's training integrates world-leading research with insights from practice around the world.

This year’s programme includes its highly acclaimed courses: in public international law, climate change law, artificial intelligence, cultural heritage, business and human rights and law of the sea. BIICL’s short courses are designed as an opportunity for legal practitioners, policymakers, government officials, business representative, civil society organizations, academics, and advanced students to deepen their knowledge of international law and its application. Courses are available virtually to facilitate participation around people’s work and other commitments and of individuals from outside the London area.

BIICL will also, once again, offer its popular summer schools on law and technology (30 June – 4 July) and public international law (14-18 July). Summer schools are hosted at BIICL’s central London office, at the heart of London's energetic and multicultural legal network but online participation is also available.

To ensure an interactive experience, course places are limited so early registration is recommended.

Discounts are available for group bookings and BIICL members. Scholarships are available for individuals from communities under-represented in the legal community, students (or those within 2 years of completing their studies) who were in receipt of a need-based bursary, and representatives from Charities, Non-governmental Organisations and Community Based Organisations.
