The Middle Temple Golfing Society (“MTGS”) was founded by Lord Scrutton in 1923 and continues to be an active society of the Inn.

We meet three times per year. The venue for the Spring Meeting changes most years, and in recent years the Society has enjoyed excellent days out at courses such as Walton Heath and Blackwell. The Autumn Meeting has traditionally been held at Woking GC as the warm-up for The Scrutton Cup (the inter-Inns competition) which is held at the same club. 

The Society competes for The Scrutton Cup each September. After somewhat of a fallow period, the Society has happily enjoyed some moderate success in recent years.

MTGS is an extremely friendly society that welcomes new members.
