This month’s edition features highlights selected from the archives of two men who served as Deputy Treasurer to Royal Benchers, Sir Peter Edlin and Sir Henry MacGeagh, and explores the diverse themes around their records, including royal connections, legal controversies and family history.
As you may be aware, last year the Inn launched an Oral History Project, led by the Archive and Collections Department, with the particular objective of gathering stories from historically marginalised and underrepresented groups, in order to ensure that these stories are heard, recorded, and passed on as part of the Inn’s history. The next phase of the project will focus on collecting histories from disabled members.
Middle Temple is a tranquil oasis in central London consisting of beautiful historic buildings and spaces, which has in recent years let to it becoming an iconic filming destination. In this month’s edition, we look back at a selection of the wide range of productions that have used the Middle Temple as a set location and explore areas of the Inn’s history through themes touched upon in these films.
