Join us at Middle Temple Library on Thursday 22 May for an ‘in-conservation’ event with Thomas Grant KC and Kate Summerscale, to discuss her new book, The Peepshow. The Peepshow examines the murders committed by Reg Christie at 10 Rillington Place, and was longlisted for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction. Kate Summerscale is the Edgar Award-winning author of The Suspicions of Mister Whicher and The Haunting of Alma Fielding amongst other works. Thomas Grant KC is a leading advocate at the commercial chancery Bar, and a Bencher of Middle Temple.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase, and be signed by the author. Join us for drinks in the Garden Room after the event, starting at 7pm.

Bookings and Cancellations

Unless the event sells out earlier, booking will close at 09:00 two working days before the event. 

Members of Middle Temple can book tickets online. Please note that you must log in first (if you have not yet created a login please register first). Alternatively, you can buy tickets from the Treasury Office by calling 020 7427 4800.

Members of other Inns, where applicable (please refer to 'Who can Attend'), can buy tickets from the Treasury Office by calling 020 7427 4800. Online booking is not available.

Cancellations: Where we have a waiting list we will offer your ticket to someone else, so please do cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
