Event Details

This session will provide legal instruction in the practice area of employment law. The training will highlight specific resources available for case law, legislation, and current awareness research in employment law. In addition, attendees will work through a scenario to learn about the process and procedures related to employment tribunals.

The first part of the presentation will provide a background to this area of law and include demonstrations of searching for materials on commercial databases and freely available resources. The second half of the presentation will focus on a scenario, which will be provided in advance. There will be a guided group discussion about the legal principles and procedures involved in the scenario.

Details of the preparation required in advance of this session will be made available to ticket holders in due course, and at least one week before the session. Please ensure that you prepare in good time.

The Library runs this training session on multiple occasions each year.  You are only permitted to attend this training once. If you attend this event having already attended a previous session the QS point will not be counted towards the requirement for Call to the Bar. The Education Department reserves the right to cancel your booking.
